Napa City Council OKs New Downtown Boat Dock

December 11, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

After a six-year absence, downtown Napa is about to get its boat dock back. On Tuesday, December 2, City council unanimously allocated $1.5 million to construct a 176-foot-long, 10-feet-wide boat dock on the west bank beneath the Napa Riverfront development, just south of the Third Street bridge.

Friends of the Napa River have worked with resource agencies, the Flood Control District, City staff and Council to rebuild the only access to the river in downtown Napa suitable for power and  sail boats as well as kayaks and canoes. Follow this link to the full story in the Napa Valley Register.
