See a short video of the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Facebook.

Everyone is invited to help celebrate the new boat dock in downtown Napa!

A dedication and ribbon-cutting event for Napa’s new Main Street Boat Dock is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23. The gathering will take place at the gangway entrance to the dock on the Riverfront Promenade, adjacent to the 600 block of Main Street.  Friends of the Napa River was instrumental in the design of the new dock.

The brief ceremony will include comments from Napa Mayor Jill Techel and others involved in construction of the new dock.

The two pictures show the previous dock, 1995, seen from the Third Street Bridge; and an aerial view of the downtown riverfront, 2002. What a change! Napa Valley dockarea2004
